About Fire and Ice - Indianapolis Salt Cave
Fire and Ice - Indianapolis Salt Cave, also known as Indianapolis Salt Cave, is a wellness center and holistic spa that offers a unique spa experience with various types of salt therapies and holistic treatments. Located in a historic firehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, since March 2018, the facility provides treatments incorporating Halotherapy, an alternative medicine using Pink Salt to relieve skin, body, and respiratory disorders. Their Salt Cave is a man-made recreation of an underground salt mine in Poland, rich in minerals and micro-elements, maintaining a cool and humid climate for ideal breathing conditions. The facility offers a 'Fire and Ice' treatment, which includes a Broad Spectrum Infrared Sauna with Red Light Therapy and Cold Plunges. This treatment allows you to alternate between the sauna and cold plunge, with towels and water provided. Bathing suits are required for the cold plunges, which use ozone sanitation and a 20-micron filter to maintain pristine water quality. The cold plunges are maintained at either 50 or 57 degrees Fahrenheit. The facility also offers salt cave therapy, hand and foot detox, and infrared sauna sessions. Indianapolis Salt Cave aims to provide a space for relaxation and transformation of mental and physical health, spreading holistic healing in a kind, compassionate, and responsible manner. The salt cave is designed to be a tranquil and calming atmosphere, ideal for relaxation and stress relief. The facility uses a halo generator to grind pharmaceutical-grade salt and aerosolize it into the air during salt cave sessions, which can help clear out mucus and strengthen the lungs. The salt is naturally antibacterial, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory, benefiting those with respiratory conditions and skin issues. They are open by appointment only. The salt cave maintains a cool temperature between 65 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit, so it is recommended to dress warmly or bring a blanket. The facility also offers a patio area and garden for relaxation.
